Scion Odyssey Bands
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. Teamwork is the ability to work as a group toward a common vision, even if that vision becomes extremely blurry. These are those individuals who formed those second families and work together towards a better future.
Bands my be formed by players of any pantheon. But, a band is not just a group that happens to like a cool nickname, wears a patch on their sleeve, or otherwise has a shallow reason for calling themselves thus. Bands share a bond, they walk the same path, they usually live and breath and eat and sleep together (but not always), and they certainly share in each other's successes and failures.
A band may include up to 5 scions, however, larger bands while possible are rare.
Before a band may grow to 6 active players the staff will be looking very closely at who is in the band, and if a band is trying to add active players while others are inactive, on hold for some reason, desanctioned, or otherwise missing, those inactive players will have to be removed first. ST's will pay very close attention to bands that seek to grow larger and may allow or disapprove of the request and may ask for justification for the band to grow larger.
There are two reasons for this:
1. To allow band scenes - when run - to be specific to the band, personal, customized to the PC's involved. This is where one on one attention will be given to players, and as such very large bands present hurdles.
2. To prevent any one band from growing so large and unruly as to allow it to dominate other groups or individual players IC. This will hopefully help to ensure that no players get singled out and harassed in the venue.
Any time a band wishes to add a 6th (or more) member they must first contact the staff to discuss.
